WHY WE #EFFINGLOVE IT: Because wild salmon isn’t always available this sustainably farmed Steelhead gives us a great all year round option and is a better choice than your traditional farmed salmon. Healthy and flavourful Steelhead are native to the Pacific Northwest and are bright red flesh, rich in flavours and firm moist texture. 

Lois Lake Steelhead is high in Omega-3 making them an excellent choice for health-conscious consumers. 

COOKING METHODS:  Smoked, Grilled, Sauté, Baked, sashimi, poach, BBQ, cured, gravlax style 

FISH TIPS:  Treat this Steelhead like cooking salmon, easily bakes well with sauces or rubs, also BBQs up real nice, leave the skin on, helps to prevent overcooking and the filet holds together well without breaking on the grills. First heat up BBQ, brush the skin with oil, place skin side down on a hot grill and cook for 10-12 mins at 350F and the meat should slide off the skin easily. Try brushing on maple syrup and some sugar spices, trust us!
