Motha Effing Ceviche


1 lb Side Strip Prawns thawed, peeled, deveined

(You can substitute B.C. Rockfish or Scallops for the Prawns!)

8-10 limes Juiced (1-2 cups or enough to cover seafood completely)

½ Red Onion Small Diced

4 Roma Tomatoes seeded and Small Diced

1 Ripe Avocado, Small Diced

1 English Cucumber seeded and Small Diced

½ bunch of Fresh Cilantro Chopped

Valentina Hot Sauce to taste

Corn Tortillas or Tostadas for serving

Recipe from Our Friends at Cerdo Tacos + Tequila

  1. Prepare seafood (prawns, rockfish, or scallops) by chopping into small pieces (a bit smaller than half a cherry tomato)2
  2. Place chopped seafood into a non-reactive container (not metal) with lid add fresh lime juice to cover completely. Store in fridge for at least 12 hours.3
  3. Small dice the red onion, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, and place in a bowl4
  4. Chop cilantro and add to the vegetables stir to combine evenly 5
  5. Drain seafood from lime juice and add to diced vegetables and mix.6
  6. Add salt and Valentina Hot Sauce to taste7
  7. Serve chilled! Eat with Tortilla Chips or Tostadas and Effing Enjoy!
