Fish Club FAQ

General Fish Club Questions

  1. What is the Effing Seafoods Fish Club?
    A monthly seafood subscription that delivers premium seafood directly to your door. Each month you receive a curated seafood pack or you can build your own selection.
  2. How often does Fish Club deliver?
    You will receive your delivery once per month.
  3. When are Fish Club deliveries made?
    Deliveries are made on Saturdays, depending on where you are located will determine the Saturday in the month you will receive your delivery. Unless you are in St. Albert, your delivery options will be every Friday afternoon. 
  4. When am I charged for my Fish Club subscription?
    Subscriptions are renewed every Tuesday before your delivery week.
  5. When will I receive emails about my upcoming delivery?
    Fish Club reminder emails are sent every Sunday before renewal.
  6. Can I skip a month?
    Yes. Simply reply to the Fish Club email before Tuesday renewal to skip that month.
  7. Do I have to commit to a certain number of months?
    No. Fish Club is flexible and can be skipped anytime.

Delivery Questions (New System)

  1. Who handles Fish Club deliveries now?
    All deliveries are now handled directly by the Effing Seafoods team.
  2. What areas do you deliver to?

Every Friday – St Albert 2-5pm

1st Saturday of each month – Spruce Grove/Stony Plain 11-3pm

2nd Saturday of each month – West and Southwest Edmonton 11-3pm

3rd Saturday of each month – Downtown/Whyte ave – 11-3pm

4th Saturday of each month – North + SE + Sherwood Park 11-3pm

  1. What happens if I’m not home during delivery?
     Our seafood is professionally packed to stay cold. It will be able to stay outside your door if you are not home, if you have a tote or something to insulate it a little bit better in the summer that might be helpful. 
  2. Can I leave delivery instructions?
    Yes. At checkout under “Customer Notes” you can include special delivery instructions.
  3. Will I receive fresh or frozen seafood?
    If you have a Fish Club subscription it will be frozen. We can also include fresh products when available.

Fresh Products (New Capability)

  1. Can I add fresh products to my Fish Club delivery?
    Yes. You can now order fresh items from our website and they will be delivered with your Fish Club order.
  2. What kinds of fresh products can I add?
    Examples include:
  • Fresh oysters
  • Fresh mussels
  • Local products like Lakeside Farmstead cheese and WagyuX beef
  • Other fresh seafood and specialty items
  1. How do I add extra products to my delivery?
    Simply order from the Shop page on our website and we will include it with your Fish Club order. effingfresh.ca
  2. Do I have to subscribe to add extra products?
    No. Extra items can be added anytime with no commitment.

Build Your Own Fish Club

  1. What is the Build Your Own Fish Club?
    A customizable Fish Club option where you select the seafood you want each month.
  2. When should I update my Build Your Own selections?
    Before Tuesday renewal each month.
  3. What happens if I forget to update my Build Your Own selections?
    Your previous selections will be used if they are still available.
  4. What happens if an item I selected is out of stock?
    We will contact you to choose a replacement.
  5. How often should I update my selections?
    We recommend checking your selections regularly because our inventory changes frequently.

Fish Club Packs & Features

  1. What is the Monthly Feature Pack?
    Each month we feature a special themed seafood pack showcasing unique products or species.
  2. Can I swap my regular Fish Club pack for the monthly feature?
    Yes. Simply reply to the email and request the swap.
  3. Are recipes included?
    Many feature packs include recipes and information sheets.

Orders & Website

  1. Where can I manage my subscription?
    You can manage your subscription through your My Account page on our website.
  2. Can I change my subscription type?
    Yes. You can switch between standard packs and Build Your Own.
  3. Can I order other products outside of Fish Club?
    Yes. Our full product selection is available on the website. effingfresh.ca
