Icelandic Charr - 1.7lbs



WHY WE #EFFINGLOVE IT: This Charr is sustainably farmed in a land based aquaculture facility in the cold waters with a gravity fed flow-through design using streams and natural springs for a source of water. This fish is rich in taste with a profile between salmon and trout with the fat content closer to the trout. 

COOKING METHODS: Very versatile fish, so all cooking methods are suitable ;  sauté, bake, broil, grill and smoked.  Moderately firm meat when cooked with a fine flake. The skin is thin and crisps up nicely when dried & fried.

FISH TIPS: Don’t be afraid if fish has a slimy feel on the skin, this is normal, the fish secretes a protective barrier. Just scrape the slime with the back of a butter knife and give it a rinse in cold water, pat dry with a paper towel.
